Not right off but if youve already looked at ebaY UK check other versions, ebaY US, ebaY Austrailia etc. Also try local internet classifide ads, if you dont find one, post a wanted ad with what you are willing to pay & what condition is acceptable & unacceptable.

I am so impressed by your work. This video really touches me, since I remember looking at all these horrible wrecked cars at yard sales- and man, you just proved that they are art! Keep up the good work!

Try to find a car that has been played with at a yard sale or flea market for 1-2 euros if you can. It doesnt have to be a MB 300 check out my other video that has several different crashed cars.

First thing to do is really look at the car & get ideas about what to do with it. Completely disassemble it. Most cars must have the melted plastic pieces ground off on the backside & glued back together later. Look at each part to see what you can do with them. What will bend? What will break? Will doing this keep me from being able to reassemble? Then you’re ready to get started. A word of advice; if it’s your first car, then be ready to throw it in the trash.

i realy likt this but how do you begin ?

  12. By TheMandoor on Jan 13, 2009

I think there is a picture with each layer of paint. With the rust I went with different shades copper, brownish-red, redish-brown, lightest to darkest. Go to a junk yard or a hill side with cars pushed over it to see how cars rust & get ideas.

Just several different colors of common modeling paint put on in layers. You can also get many rust & dirt colors from a hobby store in the train section.

Thank you. Yes, I do sell these on ebaY from time to time. I’m going to keep this one, at least for a while. Check out my other video crashed wrecked aged & burned 1:18s. You can see about 20 differet cars I’ve built. My next project will be a 57 chevy nomad that crashes into a tree head on. Inspired by the Trans Am phone pole crash in the Madonna video What it feels like. This will be a test vehicle for the Trasn Am I may do later.
